Original message, March 12, 2020:

Events are suspended for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester, and all courses have been moved online.

We will be continuing general library services with some small adjustments to our hours, including continuing to continue to offer open office hours, researcher meetings, independent study, and campus services. Please stay in touch with the policy via the Barnard COVID-19 page (alert.barnard.edu).

Please use care when using books, equipment, and other things we touch: We ask that you wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face. Barnard’s Facility Services is frequently cleaning common areas, including high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, push plates, water fountains, elevator buttons. They are also making sure that hand sanitizer is available across campus.

We are asking you to be supportive of individuals’ desire to maintain social distance and avoid touch, but please still talk with and welcome each other within our library.
