We are thrilled to announce the hire of Olivia Newsome as Barnard's first Records Coordination and Processing Archivist.
Olivia (she/her) focuses on how to apply Disability Studies, Queer Studies, and other critical frameworks to her efforts as an information professional. She graduated with her MA in Archives and Public History and received her BA in History, Indigenous Studies, and American Sign Language, both from NYU. In addition to a graduate fellowship in the Archives here at Barnard, she has worked as a reference intern at Columbia Libraries, and she currently volunteers at the Lesbian Herstory Archives.
